Work Expectations and Payment Policy

Work Expectations:

• We will always use correct techniques and practices to carry out garden work unless specifically stated by the customer. 
• Techniques and practices will often follow RHS standards but may also follow other professional standards.
• All employees are trained to a high standard including up to date NPTC, City and guilds and RHS qualifications.
• Customer will be clear about specific requirements and Employees will communicate any potentially un-attractive finishes from pruning prior to commencing work.
• Employees will communicate any potential issues with work to be carried out prior to commencing work.
• Pesticide application will be carried out by NPTC qualified employees.
• Chainsaw work will be carried out by NPTC qualified Employees.
• All work and employees will be covered by the necessary insurances.
• All green waste will be removed by licenced green waste carriers and  disposed of using EDDC Recycling and Green waste scheme(this is chargeable).
• Regular customers will be advised to sign up for an EDDC garden waste bin as this will often be cheaper than using the EDDC Green waste scheme we provide .
• We will always aim to be punctual and work to arranged dates and times, but sometimes cancellations and changes may occur, in any case we will always try to give 12hrs notice of changes and will work with the customer to re-arrange dates and times. 

Our Employee Expectations:

• Can Customers please  be respectful and polite to employees.
• Can Customers be clear about specific requirements prior to work commencing .
• If there are any issues with work completed please contact Chris Leaver immediately and he will endeavour to resolve the problem. 

Payment Policy

• Payments to be made either by Cash, Bank Transfer or Cheque within 5 working days of completion of works unless otherwise agreed 
• Regular payments can be made by setting up a standing order to our bank directly.
• Waste removal will be charged at £10 per dumpy bag removed which is the rate charged by EDDC for the green waste scheme.
• Addition fuel and maintenance charges will be applied for machine use of over 15 minutes per visit. This will be charged at a rate of £5 per hour.
• Addition pesticide use charges will be applied for  use of pesticides or herbicides. This will be charged at a rate of £5 per hour.
• Regular works will be charged at a standard hourly rate per person (Rate will be agreed with customer at time of quote).
• One off jobs or larger works may be charged at an hourly rate per person or at an individual job rate (to be agreed with customer at time of quote).
• Large jobs or jobs requiring materials to be purchased may be subject partial payment or material costs to be paid upfront.
• Cancellations with less than 12hrs notice may be charged at 50% hourly rate for potential loss of earnings.
